I think it's a shame that it's cropped so tightly in the left/right dimension. The hair comes right to the point of kissing the frame and the left arm is broken up into disjointed pieces. Even the vertical crop is too tight insofar as her right hand is concerned.

Otherwise it is very nice with reasonably good lighting on the model (I do think the large tendon on her neck is a little too bright, however.)

The background is very nice and the halo light is very effective.

Thank you Robert for your points :)
I'll certainly pay more attention on the cropping!

Nice lighting, I could see this in a mag ad if it weren't so tight. Placing her on a 1/3 point in the horital position, leting the viewer see all of her with some space to spare and then some words/logo/ad on the right 1/3 would look great. Good Job.

Cheers
Josh

As usual, I'm going to be the odd man out here. I think this is a really good shot and would actually benefit from a tighter crop. I'd loose most of the bottom of the image...maybe crop it to just below her chest to remove the disjointed arm. For that matter, you could crop this to a landscape with just the face and hair and I think it would work well...like something from a shampoo ad or something ("Try new Silkience for hair that just flys" LOL!!!). To me this shot is about the models face and the "flying hair", so I'd crop it to reflect that.

Just my $.02 worth...sometimes it's nice to get a different perspective :D.

Peace,
Jim

Very interesting suggestion.
I just tried it, like you said, as a horizontal, and it works surprisingly well.

It's a beautiful shot but I agree on crop, I feel I'm missing parts of the picture. Unless you cute some bottom out, then it looks great

Follow Jim's instructions and you'll have all the elements of a professional portrait.
You'll have the eyes on a diagonal axis (always a plus) as well as a very nice composition of the remaining elements.
The image already has proper skin tone. It has dynamic lighting. It has good detail and definition. It has a beautiful subject and her expression is nice. If the image had been mine, it would have a place in my portfolio.
