Hi all,

I recently posted 40D + 70-200mm f/4.0 USM IS @ the Aussie Rules and very much appreciated the response that I got.

A few told me that I should try and crop closer.

Well, the grand final between Newcastle City and Cardiff Hawks was on last Saturday so I decided to go down and have another attempt.

I have to say, the AI servo on the 40D absolutely rocks. Admittedly, you need a bit skill to get that focus point on the subject and keep it there - but once it's locked on, the camera + lens produces beautifully sharp shots!

As usual, EXIF data should be intact.

Any C&C would be a appreciated!

Spot on focus, good action, colour could be a wee bit blown out.

Hi JD.

Great shots, maybe still try to crop a little tighter, 7 you could completley crop the guy running into the frame on the right. Maybe try to think a little bit more about the background.

I really like the facial expressions and the detail you've picked out on the guy going for the ball in 2. Really nice and sharp images
