I was going through the images from my eagle outing a few weeks ago, and somehow had managed to overlook this one till now. It took some cropping and a couple rounds of sharpening to get to this point, but I think that it turned out fairly well :) . Other opinions anyone??

Nice eagle shot. That's one bird on the top of my "To shoot in the wild" list. :D

Thanks guys. I have lived here all my life and I can't beleive that this is the first time that I have gone to watch the eagles. They truly are amazing, and when you see one fly in person it is easy to understand why they were chosen to represent freedom and the other ideals that the US was built on.

Nice shot, I'm going to have to go eagle hunting again real soon. Lovely to behold in person.

I think those eagles are found a little north of St. Louis near Clarksville. They had Eagle Days there in January.

Lots of fine specimens originate around there. Even me.

This shot was taken about 20 minutes north of Alton IL at the Brussels Free Ferry crossing. There were about 10 eagles there alone. Farther south, around the Mel Price Lock there were at least 20-25 riding the ice down river, fishing, or sitting in the trees on the MO side of the river.
