Has anyone used this eyepiece magnifier?

I found this on ebay and it looks like exactly what I need. Seems to be a good price too. Does anyone have one of these or something similar?

I was looking for similar items earlier today, and did see a few of those. It looks like a flimsy unit, what with that plastic hinge. I'd like to find something like that, but non-hinged and with no magnification.

A 2x magnifier might be able to help you focus, particularly for macro work, but it also probably will not permit the entire viewfinder area to be seen...merely a close up of a section of the viewfinder.

That's what I'm looking for. I was originally looking at the Canon Magnifier S, but this is similar and cheaper.

Initially, the flip-up looks to be a good thing.....compose the shot with the normal viewfinder and then flip the 2x down for focus checking. However, the flip-up doesn't seem to flip-up far enough if a flash head/MR/MT is installed.
