Beautiful. Specially off camera lighting. Don't have experience and still learning.
Tips and tricks - welcome

Well, the biggest thing is to learn your on-camera flash and extract everything you can out of it first. Learn to bounce and aim it creatively and you'll get some really neat effects. I bounce flash off chairs, people, myself, the bride (the white dress is just one huge softbox!) in addition to walls and ceilings. Once you master that you can apply all that to your off camera flash and then get even more creative.
For example, in 8 I used one light to create TWO light sources. I threw the flash infront of the table aimed straight up. part of the light hits the tablecloth and becomes a horizontal light, the rest hits the ceiling and fills in the shadowed areas. One light gives you two, and at different ratios too! booya! You can do the same kind of stuff with your on-camera flash too.
For first dances I usually use two lights. One rimlight triggered by a pocketwizard and the main light is on-camera bounced off a wall or ceiling. Put the light on a stand and position yourself relative to your subjects and your light.

LOL!

Those are great! You still rule on the lighting issue. The outdoor work is amazing. I never get to do those and I wish I could fly over to do a second for you just to learn. Seriously, the wedding meet should be in Canada because so many of you guys are there.
Suzy! totally! you should come up to Edmonton and we'll hang out!
