Canon 40D Dog Whistle?

Our cat's too old to give a darn anymore, as long as we don't humiliate him with crazy LOLCat stuff.

Slightly different anecdotal evidence: We were exploring a cave a while back on Aruba, and wanted to get a few "light painted" flash shots with my 30D/430EX. Something started to annoy the heck out of the bats in the cave. They were quiet and still for about 10 minutes before we started getting the cameras out Once I started trying to set up shots, though, I was afraid of getting strafed with guano.

Weird, but there must be something going on that has an effect on certain animals.

...did you use flash when you used the camera to 'shoot' the dog?

If you would use a canon to shoot the dog there will most certainly be a flash just after the you pressed the trigger...and then some smoke...
