I would love to do some astrophotography but I only own large dobs (10" orion XT10I and a 16" lightbridge well I do have a Orion 100mm ed but its only on a simple alt/az mount. ) One day I am going to buy a 8"-10" orion Newt and a GEM and start imaging. 60D, 50 f/1.8 Metal Mount, 28-135 IS. Lost a 1D Mk III, and several L's in a home fire last summer.

I'm waiting for Orion too. Happened to wake up at 4am the other night and was outside to check out the moon, and saw Orion had risen. Can't wait to spend some time on, but there's plenty to shoot now if you can't wait.
