I went to a motorcycle show to get some shots for a friend's motorcycle web site. I only got the 40D a few days before and just thought it would be fun to learn the camera there. I got "collared" by the event promoter and a local bike shop that had a new model but the photographer never showed up. I used the stock 18-55 lens and the 430EX strobe. The show was outdoors and a mix of shade from the trees. One of the best shots was the one I'm posting but had too much clutter in the background. The first shot is the original. The Strobe handled the shade/sun ratios pretty well, but required a burned out background on the right side. The second photo is how I salvaged the original. The model actually chose this and a couple others from this show for her porfolio. I haven't mastered the art of fill flash under these conditions and welcome any advise. Thanks :)

Keith

#2 works better, but she should have been sharper for that, & I'd clean up some of the shadows on her lower leg & throat.
