A few from my last shoot. She was awfully pretty to begin with so the rest was hard to mess up too bad.

C&C appreciated. The rest of the series is HERE (external link)

Agree with Cookie Monster. #2 is really nice. I think #3 is almost as strong, but her right side is a little dark.

Great shots.

ijohnson, I don't see any major problems, good job. What I would change (coming from a novice) would be a shallower dept of field for a dreamy blurred background (bokeh), no doubt you have a couple of lenses that will do that very easily when opened up. Her head is very close to the top of the image on all 3 photo's. Is that on purpose? I prefer to give my self a bit more room above the head. If cropped for an 8x10 or something this could be a slights problem. But all this is just my personal preference. No doubt you're doing a great job! All of you guys and gals on this site are so good that it has helped renew my interest in portraits (Thanks!). Seeing how good others are gives me something to strive for.

Nice work... she's very pretty. I know how easy it is to photograph pretty girls, but I also know how hard it can be too, so good job. My personal pick of these three is number 2. I do like them all, but I'm really diggin' the connection in number 2.

She definitely has a mischievous sparkle to her eyes and smile. Lovely young lady and you did a great job capturing her.

Great work. I'm a fan of tight crop and #2 I'd do as just a head shot, the bit of the leg we are seeing isn't adding to the image.

Hey Dave, this is the 4th brickwall I've seen today. Since you mentioned it yesterday, seeing it more today.
