The last months I followed a workshop 'Landscape photography'. A few weeks ago we (the students) had a practice day. Here some pictures from that day:

Hi johnmate,
Nice pictures. I prefer #1 (composition & colors) and #3 (nice wide-angle effect). Just too bad that you cropped the trees on the horizon so tightly in #3.

Are these shot at the dunes of Kootwijker Zand? I live very nearby, so I should go there one day for shooting landscapes!
Could you also let me know which course it was that you attended? What did you like / didn't like in the course? I have a landscape course on my wish list, so any feedback would be of interest. Thanks.

Really nice photos. But do you have sand in Holland (except the beach)? didn't know that.

wow, wow, wow. :D

All 3 pictures are cool. There;s a clear difference in composition and techique per se from an amateur landscape (like mine :-P). The workshop paid off.

Nice work.

I also like them. For some reason, the black and white photo catches my eye quite a bit.

The Dutch landscape can seem so surreal - at least to me. Where were these taken?

I really like #1.

I like #3 also. But my preference would be to crop some of the foreground. I think the 2 mounds with grass lie too close to the middle of the frame in #3.

#1 and #3 look very nice to me, the 2nd one not as attractive, looks like you'll be taking some very nice landscapes with time :)

Photo tree is very nice. I like the diagonal between the grass and the trees.
