Hi all, first time poster. (I think- I've been hanging around for a long time...)
Does anyone know if the 5Dmk2 can be (gasp) used to shoot video with (gasp again) another lens brand using a cheapo manual lens adapter?
thanks...

Anything that it can take stills with it'll be able to take video with... which is a phenomenally long list once you start taking into account the M42 etc. adapters. If that is definitely the case, then you still need to be careful which lenses you will be adapting since some of them will still cause interference issues (the mirror will hang up, the lens' aperture lever will rub against the mirror box, etc). You can correct these issues with a little simple filing or by shaving the mirror. "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son". - Dean Wormer
