I have worked on some technique to try to instill more of the feeling I wanted conveyed.

I think you have two very different sets of images. I prefer #3 & #5 from the first set and #2 though not sepia and #4 in the second. I think those 4 images work well together. Again if you loose the sepia from #2.

I don't think the more architectural things work as well as these 4 and really don't fit in with these. #1 (first set) is a bit confusing visually though I do like the mirror image. Just not really sure of what you are trying to say.

Heres a couple of photographers that you might want to check out for some inspiration.

Bruce Davidson
Robert Frank (especially the book The Americans)
Harry Callahan (his street stuff from the 50s in Chicago.
Oh and of course Henry Cartier-Bresson. Mexican Notebooks comes to mind

Our own Hoff and Pio two of my other favorite street photographers...
Keep shoot'n you're on to something....
And one of my favorite quotes that Hoff posts by Cappa.
Goes sump'm like this, If you don't like your photographs your not close enough. Hoff, did I get the right?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I can understand the differen't feel, when I'm on the street I shoot at anything that gives me a sense of life. Buildings, people, plants , benches..it's strange to describe but maybe if I harvest it more maybe it can become a more "precise display"....

I greatly appreciate you taking the time, and again for your feedback (both criticism and encouragement), thanks again.

I really like the #2.( it needs a little leveling)and agree about taking the sepia out..B&W..

third is a great architectural shot..the rest are dark and not really" feely" for me.

I know what you mean , so many times I click the shutter thinking that I "caught" what I was seeing, but seeing it on screen proves me wrong more often than not:confused:

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

I like the first one best. I like the water dripping off the edge.

Thank you Gail ans Acchildress, I did think about the leveling, as you see by the window cell the photo is level because the street was at a slant and I when I corrected it , it didn't feel right. Maybe I just didnt get it right.

the dark edgy tone has become a new style and I don't know why but I'm really liking it more and more. I thin you're right in that I have to becareful not to abuse so much so that the feel is lost in my own "subjective style"....

G'day BB!

I like No. 1. The tonal range is great, but if you can "return" some detail to the shadows, it might give it a bit more feeling.

No. 2 is interesting. Was he ordering two beers? :-D I think I'd like to see more of the surroundings in that shot.

No. 3. I don't feel the vignette looks right in that image.

No. 4. ?

No. 5. Love this shot. The shadows lack detail and I think that's fine in this case. A great contrasty image, with an interesting sky and reflections...and feeling!
