I was looking through news at Dpreview. I was checking out the Canon section here. (external link) Have a look at the exif on the expanded images of the Canon gear..

All were taken with a D90 @ ISO 1600

And dam, those look clean too.

Reduced for the web just about any of 'em will look pretty clean. I had noticed that too on all the images I believe.

True but they need to offer a way for legitimate people to verify their free email address. While 99.999% of spammers do use free email so do 99.999% of legitimate people.

How Dpreview achieved success boggles me... I mean vs the other sites Dcresource and Imaging resource who started at about the same time, why are they so much "bigger"? Besides the dated forums system which contains a bunch of pixel peepers and brand fanboys hammering away at each other with Looney Tunes sized hammers almost on a daily basis and the occasional Phil Askey is Nikon or Canon biased or biased against Olympus. I used to read their forums (btw Im not the other 'Eos man' over there) but then I stopped after I kinda figured the same old topics keep recycling over and over... like recently: oh the 5D II's AF sucks, it's disappointing, bla bla bla multiple threads, same topics and virtually the same discussion. Their reviews, are too overboard, we don't need to know the exact kind of material used to make the camera body, do we? And ugh, long reviews + the whole site being "white (text) on black" that gives me a headache simply puts me off in the first place. Just my 2 cents, the reason why I don't use Dpreview frequently

Edit: And what's with the general 'secrecy' of the writers? Little is known about them. Who IS Phil Askey in the first place? (yeah, we all know he's the owner of the site but was he a photographer, a magazine editor, etc???) What does he look like (anyone care to post a pic btw? I'm serious) - is he an old photo guy, middle aged or young hippie, married or single?) Who are the recent blokes I never heard of back in 2004 writing the latest reviews? Does the addition of the 'new people' have anything to do with the removal of Joanne Askey from the 'About' page? Is Joanne Askey, Phil's wife or sister? The only thing I know is Phil Askey drives (or used to) a BMW and I don't even know what model! This is while the owners of other sites are generally open about their personal lives (ie Dave of IR and his wife and kids) and thus 'less formal and stuck up'. Call me picky I'm always skeptical about sites run by 'secret societies' =P

POTN fo' life, peace to all ;)

For starters, you could open the pic in a new window and "save as..." onto your pc, the right click the picture and go to the "properties" tab. Everything's there.

If there's a faster, browser based method of reading EXIF, I don't know about it but would be happy if anyone else shared ;) (so to save time)

Hm, I clicked on properties, that was the only way I could work out how to do it without saving the picture.
Didn't see any exif, maybe it's just the brower (Maxthon).

Use firefox (external link) and this (external link) plugin, Probably the easiest way. Otherwise, you can use opanda. (external link)

I prefer maxthon over firefox anyday, we have firefox at school and it's horrible!
I'll try out the opanda thing though.
