Hi All

This is another aircraft seen on the grey Jersey display  Apparently she is equipped like a luxury executive carrier rather than the workhorse I understand was the original intention.

The Soviets didn't always build them pretty but they sure built them rugged...
Nice to see one actually flying instead of rotting away on some third world ramp.

Nice pair of images.

heck ya that would be great if someone was resurrecting these things - i'm sure you could buy one for pennies on the dollar (or Kopeks on the Ruble if you will) in the former S.U. I'd love to have one myself some day, they're rugged as can be, and as with most any other Russian design, not complicated and not complicated to fix... now i just need my pilot license!

Hard to 'tell' but it does look kind of tired so perhaps a retired workhorse

Looks good for such a crop ~ the 24-105 is nice lens.

John

Now that gives a real sense of scale ~ I could tell the one I saw was a large plane but seeing it with people next to it shows just how big it is & a biplane at that. have a good flight and take lots of pictures :D
