Patrouille de France display team

These guys put a nice show though somewhat tame compared to the Reds and by the looks of the T-Birds

This one show what seemd to their main partypiece ~ a progressive inversion in pairs of all the team bar one.

And a lower speed pass with undercarts down.

PS I left out the "u" they are the Patrouille de France

Nah, you're right. The Arrows (I think) have it over just about everyone else. I think some of it has to do with the precision involved in melding that many more airframes at once.

The T-Birds, from what I've seen over the years, have changed up their display in some ways. I'm almost certain they've increased their spacing and no longer tuck it in as tight as they once did.

It's partly the airframe shape. Even if they are tucked in close, the long airframes don't look as tight as the Hawk, Heinemann's Hot Rod, or other more "squarish" a/c. Give me a formation of Pitts Specials over Yaks any day!

How about back when both the BAs and the T-Birds were flying F4s...

Now that was some American Muscle!

For all practical purposes the antithesis of today's demo squadrons...

They were just brute force and lots of JP smoke!

The engines on the F4 made the most haunting and evil howling sound when they'd pull the power off...way cool...
