I have 8 batteries for my two cameras and only two of them have those little gray plastic protective trays the batteries go in to when not in use.

Where can I buy more of those trays?

If they are not available, is there a case that is designed to hold batteries safety? I haven't had an issue, but I carry a lot of gear and I would prefer not to have a dead battery because it discharged against something or other in my bag.

[Edit] These are for the NB2L batteries

Sucrets boxes hold 2x BP511 snugly. Make sure you get the plastic ones. Sucrets lozenges work well for scratchy throats, too.

Thanks for the tips, folks. I should have mentioned that these are for the NB2L batteries (XT and XTi)

I just put each battery into a snack-sized ziploc bag and toss them into my pack. No chance of discharging against anything, the bags keep the batteries clean and waterproof, and the bags are light and cheap. Nothing can be simpler...

Darn, someone did post a third party seller for these battery trays. Hopefully that person will see this and repost. Good luck.

Edit: Oops, nevermind, the third party seller I was thinking of only sells the covers for the BP511:

I wonder what the difference in footprint is...

Anyone got a 40D with an XT backup body?

Another great battery place on the web is www.thomasdistributing.com (external link) (cheapest sanyo eneloops I have seen). I didn't see the specific case you were asking for, but try to email them...maybe the'd be willing to find a solution for you? Everytime I worked with them, they were friendly.
BTW, I am in no way associated with the site except as a satisfied customer.
