I went to a motorcycle rally/parade this afternoon and saw this photographer using an attachment I had never seen before. I assume this gives a 360 degree view sort of looking down but I am not sure. To me it seems he doesn't have the attachment lined up just right but I don't really know. Has anyone used one of these and if so could you post a shot from one. I would like to see the effect it produces.

I don't think it is homemade though it could be. The blue piece can slip up and cover the mirror to protect it. If it is homemade then this guy is a pretty good fabricator. I wish I had tried to talk to him but he was busy trying to get shots, mostly standing out in traffic.

Does anyone have a suggestion about where I might post the picture to get more opinions?

Thanks for the info. I knew someone on this site would know what that was. I actually went to this guy's website and saw a photo taken with this attachment I just didn't realize the shot was the result of using the attachment. It is a neat effect but a more than I am willing to pay.

$570? For what looks like a mirror mounted on an old oil filter?? ;)

(And yes, it does look like he's out-of-line)

It's an interesting effect but a little goes a long way for me. Personally I wouldn't spend the money to buy the attachment but I am glad someone else does because occasionally these shots are fun to look at. I have seen shots like these before but I thought they were stitched together and not taken with a 360 device. I would think that shots stitched together might show less distortion than the 360 device but stitching would be a lot more work.
