I have been quite happy with single RAW conversions done in Photomatix. I think the only drawback to creating HDR from multiple tif's from a single RAW is that it's very hard to keep out the HDR "look" to the finished image. You can't make them look entirely "normal". Which in my opinion is not a drawback. I can see normal anytime. ;)

Miniflash, id like to go back but not right now, it would be too cold now..lol this was back in the second week of july, it was 95+ here in CT. and in the low to mid 60's there...lol

Thats nice. It kinds reminds me of a corona commercial.

60D, 50 f/1.8 Metal Mount, 28-135 IS. Lost a 1D Mk III, and several L's in a home fire last summer.
