So one of my friend hired me last to do some club pictures.. I thought things would be complicated without an external flash ( I plan to get a 430ex MKI soon though ) but things turned out not so bad I think.

All of them were photoshopped afterward (Mostly surface blur to remove noise, screen on the highlights & sharpen )

BTW, these were shot with a Rebel 350D & Tamron 17-35 f2.8-4.. with the popup flash :-(

Be harsh on me please, I like to learn the hard way. :D

These aren't terrible for what you had to work with. I prefer a flash that I can control, though.

Agreed with the other comment. They weren't bad. On-board flash is just typically not very flattering, that is all. A remote flash would improve on things but you have a ncie start.

What - are you buying 2??

I think they are ony 2600 right??

Anyhoo - I'm surprised you got that much light with the on-board flash - good job with the rest of the exposure.

Yeah an external and maybe a flash bracket would go a long way towards better light control. Kepp it up!!

Think about NOT using the word "retarded" in a derogatory manner - it insults those who cannot defend themselves - and hurts the ones who love them. Please see: http://www.r-word.org/ (external link)
