FYI: All monitor/display pictures were taken with a point and shoot. On the bright side, the photos of my rig were taken with a Canon 7D using a Canon 17-55mm F/2.8 IS lens.

My Display Setup

Three 24" HP LP2475w H-IPS LCD screens mounted on Workrite Poise display arms. I currently use them in their normal horizontal display. I've taken pictures of them in a vertical setup. They're used primarily for web and graphic design and/or post editing photos. I wanted the maximum amount of desktop real-estate without losing out on desk real-estate.

My New Rig

Each and every wire and tube was cut to length and carefully routed. Certain parts/components were painted and both water pumps have been aesthetically modded in order to properly match the color scheme. Custom fan splitters were made to connect in conjunction to two fan hubs allowing the system to accommodate its 22 fans. The system utilizes two water loops to cool all crucial components. Three radiators are installed at the top of the case. Two radiators are dedicated to cooling two video cards (Nvidia GTX 580), while one radiator is dedicated to cooling the Chipset (EVGA X58 Classified 3) and the CPU (Intel 980x @ 4.5Ghz). The system currently has 12GB of memory clocked at 2000Mhz. Storage space consists of two 120GB Intel SSD's (Solid State Drive). One as a boot drive, the other to host small virtual machines for software testing. Two 3TB Western Digital drives are on the way.

Currently it can hold nine 3.5" drives. The drives mount to two aluminum plates, which match the rest of the case. The plates (Mountain Mods sells the plates) are mounted onto a fan; the fan is mounted to the case. So essentially, for every spot that a fan can be installed, I can mount up to three 3.5" drives. In reality though, I wouldn't be able to utilize every fan to mount 3.5" drives, because some fans are already being used to mount other parts, such as the two water pumps in the front. In some places the water tubes are preventing another fan to be installed internally on the underside of the radiators. Here are some more pictures to show what I mean. These pics where taken right after I had installed the fans.

Here is an example of the plates that are mounted to the fans; the fans are mounted to the case etc... creating a place to mount 3.5" disks. Each plate/fan mounting system supports up to three drives per fan:

The front of the case has 6 fans, two of which are used to mount the pumps:

TritonB7--- I'd have two concerns for photo editing:

1. The window directly behind the monitors

2. The strong reddish (cherrywood?) finish of the desktop

I also have red toned wood office furniture, but I lessen the impact with a hood on my single monitor, and a matte black sheet of art paper under a matte translucent desktop protector.

So by "workstation", the OP meant the actual computer equipment? I thought he meant the place where you sit down and do your photo editing, PP, etc.

Yeah, there's a long running "mine is bigger than yours" thread.

yap, AMD Athlon X4 with 8GB, and about 16TB of storage.

Also used for video rendering, hence the quad core.

Well the original poster, posted his work area, his computer, and his monitors. If you are referring to post #13, I posted those pictures to help answer a question and I apologize if it was off topic.

The wood isn't as red as the pictures would have you think, however it is cherry, I took the photo with a point and shoot and all the colors from the camera are overly saturated (I didnt have my 7D at the time I took the pictures). You make a good point about the window too. There's another window to the left of the display setup and I have to close both of them during the day for color accuracy. Even then, it probably wont be as good as having a real monitor hood on. I can only have my display setup on either two of the outside walls, both have windows, so it was unavoidable.
