There's an old church in my neighborhood, built in 1873 and took a couple of pictures of it today.

The left tree seems to have a drop shadow against the sky that the color version doesn't have. (I know it isn't a drop shadow, but it seems something happened in the conversion that brings this out.) JMO. ![]() I did apply a blue filter after the b&w conversion and played around a bit with the brightness and contrast levels which may have made the shadows more pronounced then in the original.
