Sooo I don't know if you all remember my last basketball pictures, but ever since I've started taking pictures of some of my friends, it has become a competition for them to have the sickest facebook profile picture. I had only shot with the natural gym lighting (which sucks) before today and had really been itching to try out my lights, so I called up my boy Evan to be the model.

Honestly, this picture was a light/focus test shot, but i love how it came out.

I couldnt black out the background in this one, so i added a little color treatment.

Your shots get progressively better (from 1-5) - I really don't like the flare too much, it distracts me from the subject.

Otherwise, good shots. #4, tone down the flash a bit? #5 burn the reflections of the light a little?

Yep. Im not a fan of the flare and backlighting either. #5 is great! Stick to those types of shots and I thin the players will be happy!

If you could see the whole series of shots I did, you would see that I started off with pictures like 5, but when he chimped with me he said he liked the light in the back so I did it with the rest from then on. I actually dont mind the look. I think I can do it a little better next time and make it look like stadium lighting.
