A storm was clearing and gave some nice cloud cover for the setting sun. I was actually hoping for more reds and some alpenglow, but that didn't happen. We have to take what we can get. I find it too distracting. It just sits there! When editing don't forget that the brain doesn't "see" the picture as a whole or even from left-to-right or right-to-left, but instead from corner to corner (top-left to bottom right or top-right to bottom left). In my case, it was the first thing that I noticed ![]() cheers P.S. The B&W conversion... spot on! I disagree. The plants in the foreground give the shot depth and the river is a leading line for the eye. Perfect as is. 6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.
