Rome wasn't built in one day, but I tried to see it all in one day. Here are some pictures...

I'll post some more later...

Comments and criticisms always welcome.

I'm liking the composition on #2, 3 and 4 but I'm not so sure about the B&W conversion. Have you got the colour versions?

Thanks for the comments. The b/w conversion was necessary as the originals didn't have much color to them at all due to the lighting. I might post them later.

Here are some more:

Nice shots. I have a gut feeling that #1 might look good too if you tinker with the contrast a bit and then do a B&W conversion.

#2 is very nice - gives a very grandeur 'gladiator' kind of feel. Did you use a circular polarizer? The skies look wonderful.

Nice composition on #4.

My parents went all around Europe years back and I can't believe I turned down the offer (as I was still in high school and had a bunch of exams). Damn, what a fool I was!

Surprisingly I didn't use a CPL on #2, even though I had one in my bag...and I didn't do hardly any editing to the sky.

Very nice shots... I followed from your thread about which lens to take, and now I see that they were all right about the 10-22 :)

Beautiful. Favorite is the fourth one on the first post. I think it's the composition that grabs me there. :)

There are some great pictures there. The B&W seem to have blown out highlights, but other than that, they are good.

I really like the B+W of the inside of the chuches. I also like the B+W of the street, taken from the Spanish Steps??? It might need a little straightening though?
