400D, Canon EF 70-300, 4-5.6 IS.
Taken at Watersmeet, N. Devon.

This robin stood five feet away, dead still, looking into the lens for at least five minutes. I have never encountered anything like this before.

Yet another lovely robin shot. "Mine" is being a bit cagey at the moment, hiding in the tree, singing away, hardly ever to be seen. A few months ago he kept coming down to me when I was hanging out the washing and jumping around my feet, doing the complete circle! He did this several times over the course of a few weeks. Strange and endearing little things that they are! Great capture Scrumpy :D

Beautiful shot! Did you poke him afterwards to see if he'd fall over?
