They're all great but #4 is a peach.

It's years since I've been to that line, about 1980 I think. :shock:

Hi Guys;

Thank you all for your kind comments... What do you find so attractive about #4?

I almost didn't include it because of the sharply oblique angle!

Cheers;

Lee

Love 'em all.

The environmentalists here in the colonies have turned their angst toward steam locomotives. One such group Xanterra Parks & Resorts, which bought up the Grand Canyon Railway has stated that they have discontinued steam because they want to be green, and they do not think steam is in keeping with their environmental mission.

I like 'em - particularly the first one - I think that could come up really nicely done sepia.

Super nice! #1 & #4 I like the best. #1 - looks like you ran over from the golf course and took it as it was going by. #4 - not sure why this is one of my favs, I think I like how the track curves together in front of the train.

Send mroe.

What do you find so attractive about #4?

The smoke, the steam, the lighting, the angle, it typifies steam railways.

If you could have gotten someone in knickers on the green in the first one shot it would have really thrown us back in time. Nice set.

You caught the light. Don't fall into the trap that every train photo has to fit a particular formula. This one has the light, the smoke, the steam, the dripping water, the gleaming coach....very cool.

That's a REAL shame! We rode the Grand Canyon RR a few years back, and it was GREAT fun - specially the "wild west" show they put on with the ride...

Tried - but it didn't have that "period" feel to it... However, the 2-10-0 as a B&W does look good - IMO !

Dan/Stuart - MANY thanks for these comments. I'm trying desperately to improve the "creative" impact of all areas of my photography - but I lack an artistic eye which doesn't help!!!

To others - THANKS for your time & comments...

Cheers;

Lee
