Dudes,

Nice simple one

Canon 28-135mm IS or Sigma 18-125mm HSM OS

Need a mid priced (please no 24-105 suggestions unless u want to buy it for me) walk around lens and have seen these two.

I know the canon is older, but i would love to hear from anyone who has the Sigma

Neither. Trade in your 18-55 for a new 18-55 IS.

I'm not familiar with the Siggy, but the 28-135 is a real solid performer. It's not an L, but you know that going in. Since it's a standard-issue kit lens with the 40D, there are many like-new ones available on the secondary market. You can pick one of these up and save significant $$. That's what I did to get mine, and I haven't been disappointed.

And that 28-135 focal length is a fantastic walk-around range!
