Hi there!

This picture is taken in Rhodos city, Rhodos. A beautiful island! However, I would like your comments and opinion on a non-landscape picture.

Taken with my 400D and 24-105 lens. @60mm, 1/800, F4.

Thanks!

Great shot, great texture. But I think if you cropped the people in the background out it would portray a much more powerful feeling. Theres enough wall it wouldn't throw the composition off too much.

I've got this comment before, but I left it in because it shows (I thought it shows, at least) the way people go out of their way to avoid him. You can see that they get back on the pavement after 8 meters or so. Knowing that, would you still advise me to crop?

Thank you for your response!

I actually went and cropped it to see what it looks like and I agree with you, to get the people out of the shot it takes away too much space and he doesn't seem quite as lonely. So in retrospect I'd say to keep it the way it is.

I'd say leave the retreating people...

Gives it much more of a "World Passing Him By" vibe.

Excellent image!

I think the image works even better as shown, with just the anonymous lower half of the people in the image, instead of full bodies. Nice capture.
