Now that I have accumulated so much stuff it no longer fits in my little Trekker. I need to start leaving things at home that aren't needed. Yes, I know, I'm supposed to get a bigger bag but I don't really need to haul everything around all the time. I'm interested in knowing where others put thier stuff. I was thinking about making a sailor's chest (woodworker here) that I could lock. Any opinions? (I did a search and didn't find anything.)

I have two Kata Bags full of KIT. One is more for storage and heavy photography work, the other is my light duty bag. I built a set of shelves in my basement to house all of my Kit, Bags, and Lighting Gear.

By the time I accumulated any "extra" equipment I also had a couple of "extra" camera bags. So it's typically stored in those.

I just move my furniture around so it doesn't get in the way of my gear.

I don't have any extra gear unless my AE-1 counts as extra and that stays in the closet.

In my Pelican 1614 for things I don't use currently. In my Kata R-103 backpack for several items that I tend to use more regularly. Then, in my smaller Kata bags for light assignments.

All my current camera gear (Bodies/Lenses + 2 out of 3 Speedlights) will fit in my Computrekker AW Plus.

I can downsize from that to a Computrekker AW where I'll generally only carry one flash, then down to a SlingShot 300AW where I give up either the 70-200 or the 100-400.

Whatever isn't in the bag of choice that day goes on shelves in my (under construction) spare bedroom studio.
