Hey all,
Did some searching but couldn't find a real awnser out there.
I'm looking for a larger shoulder bag to carry, 40D w/ Grip and 17-40 attached, 70-200 F4L, 100 Macro, 50 1.8, 430ex and 75-300.
I would like it to have a spot for a note book (paper, not the computer).
As well as some other pockets would be nice but not a necessity.
If possible a sub $120 price.
Any ideas?

I've been looking heavily at the Lowepro Nova 200 AW, though I want to take a look at anything else that fits the bill first.
The less it looks like a camera bag is also a plus.
Is there a crumpler that could fit this gear?

Thanks in advance
Johnsoir

Domke J2 or J3 but they are like $30 above the price range

The original F2 is only $95 and could easily manage that

I just got the 7 million dollar crumpler. It's big enough to hold my IIN, 70-200 2.8 (not attached), 17-40, 85 1.8,, 50mm 1.8, 580 EXII, extra batteries, cleaning supplies (pocket on the inside flap and on the bag will hold a small steno type notebook). It might hold it all with the lens attached but I prefer not to attach it but u should be able to customize it to fit. All the items is a nice tight fit with little movement. If you want a lot of room then u may have to go to a larger bag. I just dont like the looks of the larger sizes. This is much less conspicuous.

I recently purchased aDomke f804 (external link) to carry my 20D w/grip, 16-35, 24-70, 70-200 and 580ex. There still is a lot if extra space for all sorts misc. equipment and it all looks like a plain ol', abeit big, satchel bag.

Any of the medium-large Domkes would be wonderful for you. If you are looking at a more squarish bag, the NOVA 5 is also good. I have so many bags now, I love my Domke 802, so rugged. You may be okay with the 804 if you add the shoulder pad thing for the weight.

Still looking for a bag, Though I think I'm going to find basic messanger bag, and put some inserts into it. Anyone have any ideas which inserts can hold a gripped 40D?

I love my Domke F-802 and I think Jon knows which inserts work, I made a 3 compartment thing with leftover inserts from my other bags, and I have a few. :)

I use the Temba Pro (external link) Digital 2.0 Insert. It comes with four additional padded inserts. Two of the padded inserts have folding extensions and all four have lots of velcro to customize the fit to your need.
