I already posted his in the family and kids section but as I'm looking for specific comments maybe it fits better here. Mods please feel free to delete either post.

Some pics I took at home of my wife and son. Shot with my 40d, 430ex and gary Fong lightsphere in front of a dark curtain. I edited them in various ways to try different looks and would be very interested in your comments. Do any of them work? Any of them not work? Any tips for future shots or editing ideas are very much welcome! Thanks for looking :)

Some very nice shots there.

My initial impression is that these images would be amazing if you had used a larger light source, and thus had softer lighting, and better shadow transitions.

Very nice. I don't want to even look for flaws. I just want to enjoy them.

The dark backgrounds on the monochromes look a bit fuzzy on my monitor. Apart from that, wonderful. I like the last image best. Nice timing!

Picture 4. The bright part on the baby's body is a little distracting. Decreased exposure there or a little cropping out would make it perfect IMO.

Overall, Beautiful.

They're all pretty good, but the last one is priceless. The only critique I would have would be that I think your wife being topless seems a little strange for the context of the pictures. Maybe that's just me?

I'm pretty conservative, and I think the wife being topless is quite artistic. I don't have a problem with it. I have more a problem with the lighting, definitely need larger light source. The last one is the only one that really catches my attention, but I do think the others are decent pictures.
