Yes, it's Gibraltar - do you know where? (It looks like it might be heading back to you!)

Oh come now, it's a little spot of place. Isn't "Gibraltar" good enough? :) Oh, and wouldn't it technically be in the UK? It's a British overseas territory or something like that. Just being pedantic.

But no, I don't know, so it may go to someone else, no time at the moment to investigate.

Hi GoneTomorrow - Gibraltar is a country, so I would like the town or village please. After all, (and I know it's on a different scale) would you have accepted 'US' or even 'Minnesota' instead of 'Minneapolis City Hall'.

And no, Gibraltar is not part of the UK, technically or otherwise :)

According to Wiki, it is a British overseas territory. The "UK" sure is a confusing entity.

Yeah, I read that too, but then I read this:

The British Overseas Territories are fourteen territories that are under the sovereignty (external link) of the United Kingdom (external link), but which do not form part of the United Kingdom itself.[1] (external link)

Source (external link)

So I suppose it isn't technically part of the UK.

It is confusing Derek. Here is an extract from Wikipedia's Politics of Gibraltar - "One of Spain's arguments in rejecting comparisons between Gibraltar and these territories is that they are part of Spain, whereas Gibraltar is a British overseas territory and not part of the UK."

As an interested aside, which doesn't help the confusion, Bermuda is also a British Overseas Territory, but is not part of the UK.

Is that similar to the status of Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

Statue of a Gibraltar Defense Force Soldier?

The U.S. has a few overseas territories too. Guam, Samoa, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands...

I still want to know where it is.

By the way, I think you'd be surprised to learn which country has the most overseas territories ;)

Casemates Square (external link)?

Roy, as for territories, I think we got you beat, if you don't include crown dependencies nor territories also claimed by other nations...:p
