Most are around 75-85% of full frame so around 10-12mp final sizes. The 15.1MP sensor definitely helps with cropping, especially when dealing with small birds that are difficult to get to even with the reach of the 600 + 1.4x!

thanks for the informative feed back, having companys use my images without concent and just editing out watermarks i make sure i have a decent size one on all my image.

Perhaps you would want them to do so you can sue later. Really, you take feedback very well, good man.
I just wish I could catch one of my photos being used illegally in a big name publication.

I have a peeve with logos in images. To me it just ruins the feel of them but that's just me. I have seen where the image has a black boarder or frame with the text in it and it helps.

Great series you got there William. They actually are the first ones i see from the 50D that look really good.

Whats your initial thoughts about the AF compared to what you usually shoot with?

It is in my opinion faster and more accurate than that of the 30D or 40D. But still not up to the 1DM3 which I also own. The improvements are probably attributed to the Digic4 processor.

The Kingfisher photo is amazing.

Love the photos! A 50D would be nice, but I would definitely settle for your 600 f/4 IS & 1.4tc combo on my 40D.... It's a good thing to keep improving the autofocus and features on each camera. There is nothing wrong with the older versions, but each should improve which, from what I have heard so far, the 50D has in a couple of categories plus the bonus mp's and feature set. Sounds like a winner for the price for sure!
