goofing around a bit last night.... ISO 6400 and then ran it through Neat Image... very acceptable for the web and 4x6's for the wife's scrapbook... (IMHO)

Great camera. High-ISO isn't its strong point, but the latest improvements to control ergonomics and technology make this very enjoyable camera to use. Furthermore, the resolving power of the new sensor is excellent with good glass, so it's very suitable for low-ISO landscapes and portraits.

Love that Corvette shot!

Thanks! I'd say the shoot went decent considering there was no overcast, just direct sunlight. We had to do the shoot close to his house also, so he could grab his other toy.....this:

His garage consists of an 07 Z06, 97 Viper GTS, and an E46 M3......for now.

I've still have tons to learn about shooting with this camera. But it's fun learning:

I don't think you need to noise ninja the first picture at all. The noise wasn't that apparent, plus you lost some detail on the face (which is all well and good for a portrait, but you should do the skin smoothing, not let noise software do it for you).

Do the noise reduction early on in the PP, correct me if I'm wrong. Sharpening last.
