I also highly recommend getting a battery grip. It definitely adds some weight, but it's worth it for the extra battery life and portrait orientation button!

This is ample evidence what a great gun EOS 50D is. I feel sorry for those who will find many distributors’ shelves empty as replenishments are not foreseen.
