Wow Marco ..... those are excellent photos.
You obviously spent a lot of time with the set-up, and lighting. Well done !

Thanks! All fairly easy ! Spill box with glass plate on top. Flash in ziplock bag under it, softbox very close at left, reflector right and 1 light into background. You can see it all reflected in the glass, which is why these could not pass for pro shots

Great pictures! Very inspirational & pushing the limits!

For me when it comes to posting...Duh. Here are two of my favorites, hope they qualify should I post smaller/bigger versions...?

They are all very smart. Why do you insult them? They even know how to spell particularly.

Greetings oyster_photos,

I like the first shot - specifically the shadow of the leaves on the trunk. The top is relatively dark - so maybe crop a little of it out?

The second one is perhaps out of focus to a degree. Consider a smaller aperture size to get more in focus, like f/6.3 or 7.1?

and this is not a "50D - Share Tips & Only Post Excellent Pics" thread, so don't be shy. Some people offer unsolicited criticism which in my mind is for other threads, but good for you for asking for comments. Keep shooting and posting and enjoy ~

my typical humour... mine usually goes over the head of most mortals, or someone takes offense - but I think you're safe ;)

Hey guys, just got my 50D last night :)

I've had the Sigma 30/1.4 sitting around for a few weeks so i've been hanging to give it a go. I've come from a Pentax system so the menu is still a little confusing for me, but i'll be putting up a few shots soon. Can't wait to stroll the city streets with this combo.
