Looks real good.

a random shot outa my pop's passenger window, kinda boring subject, just trying my hand at PP.

looks a little over saturated

I just bough a used one : $600cdn with bg2n grip /3800shots. I will post pictures taken with my 300mm f2.8 and tc, as I bough it for bird photography and the 1.6X crop factor. To date at low iso the image quality are very good.

I can't quite explain it, but this is the kind of image that compels me to continue taking photos.

Did anyone notice any real improvements when firmware was upgraded from 1.0.3 to 1.0.7 ?
I know it sounds kind of dumb but the 50D I purchased a month back had the old version still installed . I've never done a firmware upgrade but I have all the needed instructions and am about to do it .

I'm no tech wizard so wish me luck , I excell in screwing stuff like this up

Now to see if it makes any noticable change in the 50D .

I doubt it'll improve the camera, I thought it's mere purpose was fixing some internal errors and some grammar/language fails

Corrects a phenomenon where captured images may tend to appear somewhat magenta depending on the shooting scene.

Thank you for clearing it up, so it might improve a bit after all... Nothing shocking though!

Thanks for the input Bob , I believe it may correct possable lines/banding at higher ISO's too if I remember correctly . I really haven't had the camera out enough to see anything abnormal so it was just a routine upgrade after I found out it was available .
