Good stuff Neil, I like the second one, great capture on the texture.

One from my trip to Oregon in April, always fun to go back through stuff a couple months later, to see what you overlooked the first time through.

Trhoads - that is a beautiful shot!

This is a really great camera. I am loving the feel and the layout so much more over my xti. I haven't taken any great pictures yet, just playing around and getting used to it, but the images are getting better. I find it similar in layout to the 5D2.

I am very pleased.

Thanks!

I have loved the 50D since I first rented one, and have loved owning mine. I don't know that I will ever be able to part with it, even if I buy a new body at some point, I think it will remain as a backup.

First attempt at a white seamless.

Not completely happy still

Strobist comprised
2 x Yonguo 560's firing bare into the seamless paper behind her at full power
1 x AB800 inside a 4ft Octabox as the main light to my right

PP included some cross processing and a big increase in contrast, bounce from the BG was killing it, still some tweaking required.

how do you know if your UDMA card is UDMA 7?

If it is, it'll probably be written all over it and/or the package with a huge font size.

^ I know they say UDMA on them if they are, but do they have the version on them too...I don't know, I only have one, and it just says UDMA on it.

DAMN! Who would pay that for storage? ****, even cheaper to roll film. I wouldn't wanna carry something that expensive in my wallet.

nice, thanks. I have not made the full switch to UDMA cards...probably ought to. and that is too much $$ for storage, I don't want anything bigger than 8gb, just in case a card gets corrupted, i would be better if I lost a 4 gb card and a portion of a shoot or a trip, but to lose it all on one card would hurt too much.

I have been sitting here thinking about that card...why would you want 128 GB on one card...then it dawned on me...video. Glad my 50D doesn't have that...my wife would be using it more then!
