Jul 01, 2011 21:09 | #8728 anyone use generic batteries? I got a really cheap one on Amazon but since I got it I'm afraid to use it. Plastic seems cheaper, I'm afraid it will burn up my camera. I've used a generic Sterlingtek for my xti for two years and no problem, but it was virtually identical to the Canon one. This one does seem a little different. Canon 50D

It is short for Photographers BillwYellowstone wrote in post #12691087 OK, on track ont the 50D, CF cards, I have a 4, just ordered an 8, 45 mb/sec, but what is the consensus here? Do you try for the 60/sec? Is faster really better? I can see where it will come in, take a load of shots a ducks flying off the water, have say 30 crowding the buffer, faster works, but how much faster? Short of buying one of each, thought I'd ask for some exerience. It usualy shows in the speed when viewing photos, also known as chimping, I haven't seen that drastic change when doing high speed shooting, not that I do that very often tho... Don't worry Ma'am, We're university students, We know what We're doing.
