WOO HOO!!! :) I am a happy girl tonight! (well 99% happy anyway...the color is still wonky)

So I used the micro adjustment feature on the camera today.. because my 24-70 was still off.... focusing more on a person's chest rather than the eyes as intended...

So.... a little tweak.. and WAAA-LAA-AH... Freaking amazing!

All shot at f/2.8 no sharpening.. just the files.... and at close range and with full frame... :)

I'm so happy because for the last year... I have not been able to nail anything wide open.. and I know I have the ability to do it.. so... I LOOOOOVE the adjustment feature.. it is so totally up my alley.. lol... and now I don't have to send my lens in for adjusting.... I can do it myself!! YAY!!

So the only thing that bothers me now is the color of the files... it seems off to me... not sure why, but may have something to do with the camera profile not being recognized by my version of PS... not sure... Something I'll have to work on getting right.

#1 Eyes are in perfect focus...

#2 Great again...

#3 Just one eye... but the one in focus is what I intended... ISO @1250
IMAGE: http://ksnyderphoto.smugmug.com/photos/433894613_VFyxE-XL.jpg

#4 Missed slightly.. but still acceptable by my standard...

If you want to see larger files for fun... check here... You can mouse over and choose "O" for original or whatever size...

Did you tweak your 24-70 for 24mm, 70mm or average the two?

Hell if I know... lol.... there is a little menu box that goes from -20 to +20... I messed with it using a barbie until I liked it.. then I shot the dog's eyes up close to see what would happen on a larger subject.. and I was pleased...

So I left it at +10 backward... whatever that means... All I know is that it worked... and I can tweak it whenever I want to... and the nice thing is that the camera can save the setting to that lens... When I pop on my 85.. I can adjust it or leave it as it is.. .and the camera remembers it... :)

You see... it was the camera all this time!!! SO glad you are happy with the new camera. The images look great and even if Molly would like nothing more than to eat me... I like her shot the best. Very cool!

G'nite and get ready to start shooting more!!!
