Uhhhhh Does the focal length matter? DUh???

AFAIK, yes it does because the stored adjustment is per lens not per focal length...

So theoretically you can be perfect at 24mm but off at 70mm. The best thing to do would be to adjust it at each end, note each and then split the diff. That's the setting it will hold for that lens.

so yeah, if the photo looks like mine, chances are it isn't :-) anyways, so i went ahead and looked...didn't get lazy about it this time. I just can't remember how many photos I submitted but I found four of my shots.:-)

hmmmm.... I'll have to analyze the shots then..

The ones posted were 45mm, 64mm and 70mm. I was pretty happy with how they all panned out... I'll have to leave it as is and try something at 24 tomorrow and see what comes of it.

Thanks for the tip. :)

If it works it works...

If your lens has an error, it very well could be consistant across the entire zoom range.

It works... I didn't sharpen any of them.. and they came to jpeg from RAW, so I'd expect a little softness. I'm happy... Now to figure out the color question.. the files seem yellow-ish or something is off to me... I can't put my finger on it.... Think it's the lack of camera profile in the software?

More than likely, yes...

But since you're shooting RAW, easy fix.

You could build a custom profile for your camera in Lightroom. That's what all that shadow/highlight bias stuff is at the very bottom of the right hand panel in Develop.

Work in progress... :) That shall be my weekend project perhaps. After I get a jump start on my Christmas shopping.... actually that means we go out for sushi... It's traditional that we get a babysitter when shopping for the kids, and we sneak out to sushi first.. lol... :)

At the top of each "Talk About" section is the poll for the book submissions...
