So.. I'm not an authority on flash.. but I like the 580ex and I think the reason I got it is because..... I can't remember.. duh.. but at the time, I researched and compared the two.. and decided that 580 would be a better choice. It has a few extra features... and can also serve as the "master" which the 430 I believe cannot do.

Hope that helps some.. I'm sure one of the guys will have a more technical answer for you.

i'm joyce. i do have a site that contains my pictures: my flickr. by no means is it any where close to the work you and the rest of others have on here... i only started playing around with a dslr last year, so i'm still pretty green... i picked it up as a hobby from my studies and to get me away from the computer. now i have to figure out some sort of workflow to process all my pictures.

Nice pano but fwiw, it's half again longer than allowed by POTN rules on the longest side which is 1024 pixels.

Hey I'm new to Canon. I had all my Nikon D40 stuff stolen and just ordered a bunch of stuff. I picked up
-Canon Eos 50D 15.1 MP Digital SLR camera with the 28-135mm lens kit
- Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Eos cameras
-Sigma 10-20mm (wigma)

Anyone in the Glendale area who could give a quick schooling on this camera when i get it.

I mostly shoot cars/ and track pictures
(old camera d40 with stock lens so yea there is noise etc)

Do you go to the car shows at 91 Ave & Northern on Friday nights or the one at 83 Ave & Lake Pleasant Pkwy on Saturday nights. LOTS of classics, hot rods, T-Buckets & other stuff.

I hang out with the AZLX crew. (LX = late model Chrysler 300's, Dodge Charger's & Magnums) I'm the OLD GUY with the Red Magnum.

I have a 40D and love it. The 50D is a great camera you will really like it. I just got the Canon 10-22mm. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I think it will be fun for car stuff.
