no, but you're going to love that lens. I did the same upgrade a while back and love the 24-105

more importantly, how do we make your friend my friend????

Not just for hikers, but for anyone that is thinking about leaving their cars at parks and stuff.

Warning for hikers
Pat Bowker-Haman of Phoenix has this advice for hikers when parking at trailheads.

"My husband and I are avid hikers and enjoy discovering new places to hike. We have a big suggestion for other hikers:
"Don't leave anything in your car when parking at any park. Just last week, we parked in the small parking lot adjacent to Shaw Butte. We returned from hiking to find our rear driver's-side window smashed. My husband's leather jacket, glasses, cash and a carton of cigarettes were taken.

"Not only that, but whoever did this stuck a nail into the side of the rear tire on the driver's side. Apparently, they did not find enough to steal, so they left us an almost-flat tire. (The nail was not anywhere close to where it could have been picked up on the road.) We had to replace the tire, the window and my husband's glasses. This was one very expensive hike.

"To add to this, the police told us that thieves are now targeting parking lots at parks, and we were not the only ones who have been victimized. Perhaps this will save others from what we went through."

So I just found out I can take 1,355 pictures with my 16GB card.
