Shot my first ever air show last Saturday, in pristine Spring conditions in Coffs Harbour. It's certainly different to the usual baby/kid portraits! Here's a few for C&Cs. All shot with 70-200mm F2.8 non IS:

80% FW-190

Good start here, but your skies are running to the purple side.

nice set.

Question: is that a real FW-190 or a mock up?? I wasnt aware of any flying samples... also the cowling looks a little bit stubbier than usual? If i'm wrong, than thats great someone actually has one airworthy!

It is a lovely series and the sky looks amazing (not seeing any purple cast on my monitor).

You may find even better results by going for a slower shutter speed to get more blur in the props and a greater sense of movement.

All the gear and no idea.

No PP on these, and the colours look fine on my mac, but monitors are subjective & temperamental! :D

It is listed as 80% original. The photo generated quite a bit of interest on another forum. I don't know much about old planes I'm sorry! Cheers.

Ozi.

Yes it is cropped but not PP in any other way, except of course for web compression. It was just one of those shots that we fluke now and again with perfect exposure and focus. Sadly they don't happen that often with me...:)

Original image from camera @ 800x600px. In fact, upon viewing both, I don't think I cropped it at all.

Well then, that one could use a little crop to it then ;)

I bet they meant it is 80% of the size of a real one. There are some sl smaller mustangs as well. There is no way that is a real FW 190 given that profile. The camoflage is also striking but not a very typical camo.

You may well be correct on this one, but I am not a WWII plane buff. Either way, it is a striking looking aircraft.
