Looking to buy a tripod and monopod.
Monopod would be used for light travel.
Tripod would be used to shoot outdoors/indoors. I have a Rebel XSi. Heaviest lens would be 70-200 f/4.

For a tripod and head I recommend a Bogen 055XPROB set of legs with a Bogen 488RC2 ballhead. These three items are definitely the most commonly purchased by people around here. Best bang for the buck IMO. [Gear List | Flickr

Same suggestions? I want a tripod that is strong enough to carry this combination and pretty vibration-resistant (including when pointing up into the sky), yet portable enough that I'll want to carry it with me on hikes in the country, and not costing the earth. Is there such a beast? 5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.
