Hey guys,

I am about to make my first purchase on a backdrop. I have read a few threads here and there seems to be a lot of information! I have looked at various brands, but I want something that will last for awhile and wont wrinkle too easy. I was looking at silverlake's muslin and they seem to be really nice, but they do not have a solid gray muslin.

Whats decently priced gray muslin for under 200? And which size should I get? Is the 10x12 big enough for a few a people?

TEXAS IN DA HOUSE.

If you are looking for under $200 bucks try Amvona.com. They have an Ebay store also. Some like them, some don't. Do a search here on Amvona and you will see what I mean. By doing the Amvona search you will find other threads about bargin backdrops also.

If you want to shoot a few people 10x12 will not cut it. Get 10x24 or 10x20.

I will get 10x20. I have couple of silverlake and I really like them. Muslin will wrinkle but you can spary water to reduce them. If you keep subject away from bg, then no problems with wrinkles even at smaller apertures.

I got them through their monthly special. Usually $150 for signle 10x20.

Bobby,

How do you get their monthly special? I know they have mismatches for sale, but I never see any specials.

I've not used their muslin but their canvas is pretty good.

Photek has a 8x12 velour background on Adorama for $160. There's a number of choices of colors and some have different pattern on each side.
