I realize that the next time I shoot this, I need a greater depth of field. And I haven't done more than crop it and adjust wb.
My question is, is this as interesting a picture as I think it is?

Oct 02, 2008 22:55 | #4 Thanks, Jeff. My biggest issue, aside from the manipulation of the tool, is that I feel like I have an uncritical eye. I see all the world as equally beautiful; I see beauty in order, I see beauty in chaos, I see beauty in the mundane and I see beauty in the unusual. But when I use a camera to isolate the beauty I see, it doesn't look like what I thought I saw. I asked the question the way I did because I know that I still have to learn the tool; but I don't want to wind up with technically correct photographs of boring subjects. Learning the tool is only one of the challenges, but it is the one I am confident of. The other, the subject, that is the part that fascinates and eludes me. _______________

I think a B W would work here to help keep focus on the pattern. Also more focus would also enhance the look. I see where you were going with this. A different point of view with the same subject might be the answer as well.

Luigi Before I read this I copied the photo and rotated it 180. I liked it much better then.
