Student Gov meetings/ C & C

so i guess you can say i was just accepted(hooked up really) into my schools student government, as a photog/PR type job so they want me to be there for most events

today was my first shoot of them, and i wanted to ask what kind of things i should take into consideration for shooting table meetings, like what kind of settings i should be using

and this was the first time i shot anything like this before

not a bad attempt. they could use some better composition, maybe something like a long shot of the length of the table with people discussing. if you come in close with him talking to someone, you might want to include the person he's talking to. try also to think about what you can bring in to help tell people that this is a student government session... an american flag and the school logo, perhaps, somehow incorporated into the photo?

It looks like your camera was fooled by the white wall, especially the first shot, which the camera underexposed.
