Victory Days (external link) is a combined air demonstration and World War II re-enactment at the Terre Haute, Ind. airport. A parachute jump using 1940's style equipment, airplanes from the era, an encampment of American and German troops is all part of of the show.

Looks like DC Fan & I were in the same areas at about the same times. I need to pay more attention to people around me and start introducing myself, I guess.

Here are a few more. I'm posting these pretty much as quick as they are coming off the card. Minimal PP...just a quick crop and maybe some contrast adjustments.

It's supposed to get better. Friday was just a warmup day, used mostly to give schoolchildren something to do. The most interesting airplanes, such as the P-47 Thunderbolt duo from Tennessee, were just arriving on Friday. And Laszlo, (external link) the official photographer from Toronto, mentioned a big collection of Mustangs was expected on Sunday.

Being airborne qualified, I was wanting to get involved with a WWII airborne re-enactment group. I couldn't find the time or the money to put together such a complete kit. Someday perhaps.

Nice series of photos. Maybe do a little B&W and antiquing conversion to some.

Ivory grips for Patton. Not chrome, and definitely not pearl.
