If the subject could be isolated from the background, it would be a big help, because the background foliage was obviously burned out completely. This is one of those cases where some of the blown out background could have been saved by something as simple as a Polarizing Filter. Bob

I do think you went a bit far with the post processing and I too would like to see the original, but I don't really find the background all that distracting at all...my eye went right to the subject here (and particularly the look on the man's face!).
